the most powerful lever action rifle cartridge .50-110 WCF
The video guy is using a modern replica to get maximum power ( which would destroy an original weapon) but that sucker really packs a wallop.
Nice hole in the flange of a steel I beam |

I have four Winchester oldies all in wcf 30-30. Oldest is 1910.
They all shoot very well and one has an old Redfield rear peep sight. Winchester lever guns, Americana! I have found that British .303 5-round stripper clips work well with the 30-30 cartridge, easy to carry 5 rounds together in pockets while hunting. |

I showed that video to my Supervisor ( 72 year old part time gunsmith )
" That's nothing compared to my .45-110 " He took a replica winchester in .45-70 and rechambered it to .45-110 He shoots it with black powder. Where the problem lies with his .45-110 is it only weighs 8 lbs and kicks like a pissed off mule. The factory .45-110 weighs in about 14 lbs to absorb the recoil. Quote:
.444 Marlin cartridge is next to the .50 BMG The little one next to the .444 Marlin is a .44 Mag |
