With all that is going on, the young Chinese 14 year old getting a penalty stroke for slow play, Tigers faux pas, how come Day and Caberra were not penalized for slow play when clearly they were a hole and a half behind the group in front of them.

I agree, but he's worth WAAAAAAY to much money for them to disqualify him.

For example, I watched some of the Masters yesterday. If he hadn't been playing, I wouldn't have.

If that were me or you who did that, we would have been disqualified.

No, you would not. Tiger's drop was reviewed by the tournament committee before he signed his card Friday. They said it was a good drop, so the card was accurate when he signed. The rules changed two years ago to stop players from being DQ'd because some TV viewer calls in after the round is over. That is what happened late Friday, after his interview where he said he dropped further from the hole. That is when they decided he had taken an illegal drop...for which the penalty is two strokes. The DQable offense was the incorrect scorecard and they had already let that go.

he clearly made the comment that he dropped behind the mark. At no time did he negate that point. At the same time they are watching everything as it happens. You make the call then. This shit of someone calling in and saying they saw something on TV is BS.
