Quit my job without notice and sell all of my California Property. Step One.
Secondly, buy a house near my wife's folks in Virginia to be close to them when they are in need. Thirdly, buy a huge ranch somewhere in a Free State and effectively 'disappear' Hook up family and friends and donate a shitload to Charity. Then buy a few toys, but I'm pretty modest. I don't need much. |

I would enjoy waking up in the morning to decide what I wanted to do, knowing that ANYTHING was possible. Anything.

I've been thinking about this more.
If all of the sudden I were to come into a bunch of money... here is my wish list. The first thing I would do is get ceramic tile for the floor of the house to make it look better for my wife. And I would get a new well pump so we had running water again. I'd probably get an old surplus Willy's Jeep to haul the family around with a fold up canvas top in case it rains. A bigger screen TV, and try to get a better internet connection. Meanwhile I would finish building the small house that we started on for my wife's parents. Now for some of rest of the money, I would buy the land next to our lot that goes all the way over to the pier, maybe someday everything on the sea side of the road could become a beach resort that could make a small income for us, and provide jobs for quite a few here in our village.. The basketball court and the chapel on the other side of the road.. I would donate to the village, and all of the land behind it I would section off in lots and give to the people here that were forced to move out after the typhoon as the land owners want to sell it and not have squatters living on it. It would have neat rows of homes, and paved streets with lights. |

In this order.......
1. Give my boss a million bucks (he's really a good guy) 2. Quit my job 3. Donate 10 million to my church 4. Payoff all of my family and wife's family mortgages 5. Setup trust funds for 16 nieces and nephews (we have no children) 6. Sell my house in Virginia 7. Move to the south and buy about 5 acres for a new home 8. Buy a new truck and fifth wheel camper to see the country 9. Buy a new Corvette 10. Donate to a few charities that I feel are worth while 11. Throw one hell of a party and have everyone I know show up (including VBOT) Don't worry about travel and accommodations, it's all on me!!! 12. Maintain a very large bank account and do whatever the hell I want!!! |

1 Don't tell anyone I know but those listed below.
2 Not turn the ticket in right away. 3 Hire an attorney. 4 Hire a top notch financial advisor. 5 GTFO of town. Anywhere warm. 6 Call in to work. " Really sick, not going to be in today" See #1. 7 Meet with attorneys/advisors. 8 Form a plan. 9 Execute the plan from their advice and how I want it to go about it. |
