Drove an "08 Z today
A relative came by to show me his 15k mile garage queen he picked up yesterday and I jumped at the chance for a test drive...Compared to my almost stock "01 I found it to have; a more refined interior, more confortable seats, somewhat heavier "feel". I, however, was not overly impressed on the performance side...good YES but not what I expected. My sense was that it didn't have the crisp throttle response of the LS6 Z and was down a bit on each end of the power curve. On the other hand, power was what I expected from abt. 4500 to 6000rpm. My bottom line...If I wanted a used Vett for the kick-in-the butt experience you can't beat the $ value of a C5 compared to a C6. One man...one car experience
