Ok call me lazy but the clutch safety switch in my C5 manual transmission Corvette is driving my crazy. Is there an easy way to bypass this switch without cutting wires? I want to be able to start the car without holding the clutch all the way down to the floor.

AsI recall there's two circuits through the clutch switch...One is the starter interrupt, the other disengages cruise control.
When you determine which are the starter wires (sorry i forget the wire colors), just disconnect those two from the switch and connect them together to bypass it. And don't ever forget to depress the clutch when starting! ![]() |
