Yeah she hit me in a 15+ year old SUV and looking at public data her house was not even worth $150k. I'm like wonderful...her car and her house cost less than the Ferrari.

I was almost certain her coverage limits do not meet the value of the car so I went through my insurance to recoup. During the process it felt like an eternity but looking back on it from accident to pay out was roughly a month. I can tell you the check they cut me I'm sure they were pissed. It had to come through two transactions because it "exceeded" the max they can transfer just to give you an idea.

Yeah the estimate was around $150,000 to repair. Car sold at auction to someone.

I'm not sure if you saw the CFOT post that Force-1 made regarding the Ferrari purchase I made a few months ago. Unfortunately, the local Ferrari dealership found cracks in the birdcage and they had absolutely no idea what caused them A repair woukd have required an engine out, so the selling dealership returned my money. I never even had a chance to sit in it. The search continues!

Were you the one who bought an F12 as well? I think he asked me why I "sold" the car. At the time I was still working it out with insurance so I was coy about it until it was finalized and cash was exchanged. It's worth owning a Ferrari at some point. There's just the theater, the sound, the gauge cluster with the big tachometer in the middle with the Cavallino right in your face. It's an experience I won't forget.

However, the McLaren 720S absolutely wrecks anything under $500k. Best handling car I've ever driven, runs 9s stock, RWD not AWD so you can really rotate it, and by far the biggest attention whore I've ever driven on the road. Oh did I mention hard top convertible and the "doors go up."

LOL you know I also have a Plaid. It's not the point. Different tool for different task. Still doesn't take away the fact the 720S is badass and so is the Plaid.
