Thank you! I’ll keep your offer in mind. We may consider repairing them. We need to look at the other speaker. And John says to me “ you know there are two more speakers in there”. Well no, I didn’t know. Mrs Millennium |

My opinion, which means dick all, is to take apart, clean and relube. It’s already ****ed, what will it hurt? Unless it’s an excuse to buy a new one, which is understandable. For grease, I like Labelle - I use it in my VCRs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002MUYOSK
I’m not a fan of U-Turn (Orbit) or Fluance turntables. My experience with both were negative, in both product and customer service. I sent back both. Ended up with a Rega. Hard to find a decent automatic. They tend to use much cheaper components, but I get why they’re popular. I use a Tru-Lift tonearm lifter, but it’s finicky to get set up properly. |

When I finally gave up on my stereo hobby, I started to lose my hearing, and so found out my interest in music faded also.....
I used to have about 400 RMS watts/channel with McIntosh amp, preamp, tuner, etc......and TWO ML2c's stacked per channel......making a 4 ohm load.... I had various tape decks through the ~40 years of that hobby Teac, etc.... from cassettes on up in size, and even a 10" wheel to wheel Ampex.... My old Brother in law was head of the music division of Library of Conngress in Wash DC, there on Cap. Hill......they went through hell in saving the older recordings of various types......been a while he died off some 40 years ago....my sis is 93 now.....He was also a big shot at the Wash. National Cathedral Episcopal , located at Wisconsin and Mass. ave NW Wash DC..... so music was a BIG shot happening in the family for decades..... |
