That "simply having a wonderful christmas time" song is in the top 3 obnoxious ones, the jackson 5 santa claus is comin to town is another. Third one tbd. There's a version of some rat pack guy calling rudolph rudy that blows so maybe that one.

I’m not a huge fan of traditional Christmas music and I’m even less of a fan of artists taking the old songs and “jazzing” them (unless it’s Ray Charles) but I had some ideas about Silent Night as a New Orleans style with horns and Soul Man Sam Evans doing a vocal as only he can do.

I think it turned out pretty cool. Red Young on the piano just kills it. We wrote intricate horn parts that I think capture the New Orleans second line sound.
