Actually according to the CFP bylaws that is exactly how it's supposed to work. They are supposed to pick the 4 best, not 4 most deserving.

How does 12-1 Alabama get picked over 12-1 Texas who they lost too, and were lucky they even beat a 6-6 Auburn team last week? And how does Georgia 12-1 who lost the SEC Championship game get picked over 12-1 Texas who dominated in their Championship game. Let's make it simple SEC Homer. Texas beat Alabama who beat Georgia. Who's the better team?

It's all about who's the best now and of course the money the teams bring in.
Loss early in the season always better...
Bama much better now than when Texas beat them and that's what they care about.
Not saying Texas doesn't deserve a shot but they lost to a so so Oklahoma team whereas Bama lost to a good Texas team.
Wouldn't suprise me if Georgia got in.

In 1971, Herrera became a starter and against the University of Washington, he set the school record for made field goals (4) in one game. In the opening game of the 1972 season, he kicked the game-winning field goal, with 20 seconds left, in the 20–17 upset of two-time defending national champion Nebraska. In 1973, he broke the school's PATs attempted (64) and made (61) record. In 1974, he led the nation in kick scoring (84 points).

During Herrera's career, the UCLA Bruins football team regularly finished among the leaders in the nation in scoring, which helped him leave as the school and NCAA career leader in scoring with 368 points (1971-1974). He also set the 7 career records including PATs attempted (127) and made (121).

The UCLA soccer team also made it to the NCAA Finals in 1972 and 1973 while Herrera was a player.
He also lettered in baseball, wrestling and track.

In 1977, Herrera made 18 out of 29 field goals, 39 extra points (tied for the league lead), was the second leading scorer (93 points) in the NFL, had a career-long 52-yard field goal against the Washington Redskins and tied the league record for most field goals attempted (5) in a game. He was an All-Pro selection and made the 1978 Pro Bowl at the end of the season. He also helped the Cowboys win Super Bowl XII.

Herrera is currently an assistant coach at Claremont High School in Claremont, California

And most important i got to see him play at UCLA where my brother and son went and we're also the same age.

They should do a movie about him.

That was last week and as they say a win is a win. This week Bama looked very good.
I can't believe they won either game myself

Should Bama be in.... Probably not but they'll definitely be considered.
Georgia could still get in, a better quality loss would be the argument.

Definitely going to piss alot of people off whoever gets in.
Too many playoff games or championship games have been blowouts. It'll be alot worse when they expand it

Michigan as they steamroll Iowa is in

Should be if no surprises
Washington, Florida St, Michigan, and Texas.

East Coast bias and SEC homers would have . Alabama, Georgia, Washington and Florida St in. The NCAA is as corrupt as our Govt.
This...it only makes sense...unless Florida St losses then let the Beavers Chew..

Georgia's Head Coach Kirby Smart makes a case for Georgia to still be in the playoffs. YOU LOST
