there are about 48,000 concealed carry permit holders in NM (last data was 2017), so about 2% overall. i'd just as soon not have to be a first responder, but i'm armed and carry a trauma kit in the car/truck.

I never said Abbott had anything to do with it. These are FEDERAL agendas being propped up by these incidents.

The United States has some of the highest recidivism rates in the world. According to the National Institute of Justice, almost 44% of criminals released return before the first year out of prison.

Put them away, leave them to rot. If you commit an armed robbery, you get a minimum 50 years and you will most likely, and hopefully DIE in prison, as you should. If you accompany an armed robber, you get the same sentence.
If the weapon is actually FIRED during the robbery, you get another 25 years.

There HAS TO BE accountability. There has to be REPERCUSSIONS.

Jail/prison doors need not ever open. There is NO rehabilitation. There should be no rehabilitation. Choose wisely. Politicians do not want to solve the problem, they only want to place blame because THEN they get to point fingers while they campaign.
