Pickup question.
I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500. Wheel bearing is going/went out and I bought the replacement ASSEMBLIES. Got the front end up off the ground, removed the old wheel bearing assembly and found out...there is NO spindle. Has it been that long since I have worked on the front end of a truck and now 1/2 tons trucks don't have spindles or am I missing something?

The assembly you bought IS the spindle. 4WD or 2WD? 2 wheel drive is infinitely easier to replace than 4 wheel drive
Many good how-to vids on you tube on these. That's how I learned how to do mine on my old GMC |

Just finished replacing both of them. I must admit, the Texas 100 degree weather made it a bit more challenging. Got the truck up to 80 and the wheels stayed on and there are no extra parts. |
