we had lunch, last minute errands are done, house is clean, garbage is taken out... now what????? ack! i dont do "idle" very well. guess i'll head back to the pool. that sorta entertains me for a bit

getting my clamps hung on the new clamp rack i built yesterday....missing 2 i think (small yellow ones)....you can't have too many clamps...can you? i think the last count i did i counted about 80.....

80?? i have some on my tool list (but not 80. ). never made buying them a priority tho. a circular saw needs to come first. get tired of cutting 2x4s with a hand saw - takes FOREVER!!!!!!!!

They are lucky it's only 1400. There were so many changes from the initial FEL bid. We started out with 91 pipe lines to rout and ended up with 178. Equipment had major size changes. For some reason project management thinks that it is design development for that kind of stuff but I’ve got other news for them. We don’t get to charge the client for it I just need to explain why I went over. It will all go over good in the end i think.

just did a count on the way out of the shop: 101 clamps (not counting 4 band clamps) on that rack. and i'm still missing at least 2 yellow ones, and that doesn't include about 10 real small C-clamps i have hanging on a pegboard in the office.

spent the afternoon building a little shelving unit to hang on the wall to hold boxes of nails and screws....ran out of room already will have to enlarge it another day....crap.

morning all,

heading to homey depot and lowes shortly, more lumber and some caulk needed, then back to prep a soffit for painting, replace some worn kitchen drawer glides, and down to the shop to build some storage shelves and cabinets. think i'll take tomorrow off.
