Default Oh, what they call on me to fix...
Huge house. Owner is a decorated Army Vet, got his "leg blown off" in Afghanistan, so I need to go above and beyond. Which I'd so anyway. Nice guy BTW, perfect gentleman, dog lover, is walking well after surgeons carefully reconstructed his thigh bone that took two AK rounds.

His wife had the house designed. Huge frickin' house. Architect did not bother to see the site. Then the county required an engineer to design the structure. He didn't look at the site either. So my client, the contractor, started building. Then the questions began. The County, then the owner.

So, finally, they called in an expert. And I have an open checkbook.

The main level is:
33.
****ing.
feet.
above grade.

And 130mph wind zone. I rate it as Exposure C, cuz of his epic view. Gorgeous creek valley with massive open acreage views.

My solution, don’t build with the main level a 33 feet.

We were up in the smokies and the homes we saw on the side of a hill with no level ground were stupid IMO.

I have dogs so that’s a no bueno.
