Yeah, but I've gone past the "oh, pretty" to "this shit needs to go"

Maybe I'll see if the ponies or cows are up to pics. Or if they will let me get far enough away to take them.

Didn't even realize this section was here.
From my OT thread.

I just got a decent camera, not sure how to use it yet, still learning.
My buddy got a tip on some birds from another photographer so we headed to the area to see what we could find. Got a couple of decent shots.

We were looking for Bohemian Waxwings and some owls that had been spotted.

We found a flock of Cedar Waxwings with a few Bohemians mixed in.









I saw a squirrel in a hole in a tree and thought it was the owl we were looking for.




I pointed it out to my buddy and he says, "there it is!"
Apparently the owl we were looking for was one tree over and I totally missed it since it was so well hidden.

It's an Eastern Screech Owl, Red Morph.





After a while we went to another spot searching for a Grey Screech Owl but he was gone.
I went home and found some Hairy Woodpeckers (settle down Beavis) and the sun was fading fast so these have minimal lighting.





This is my favorite.

I reenacted the 135th there back in '97. I love Shiloh! Hope to go back some day. Bloody Pond, Hornets Nest, etc...
