Just make a new hole at the back, and use a $2.00 Halogen Motorcycle headlight bulb.

If Hole is too large... duct tape in place.

No one will know the difference but you.

A few years of the Maximas and Altimas are the same for the repair. Front bumper has to come off. It sounds worse than it is, but still costs. And the Xenon headlight bulbs themselves are about $200. The ones at the parts stores are around $125/140.

Do you have the jewel headlight option with the 6 projectors? IIRC that was about a $6k option when I built one out online. $500 seems about right.

I like some of the modern gizmo's on cars. That big touch display in the center console to control everything seems to be popular on many makes. I wonder when those start going out what it will cost to replace it. I also wonder if modern vehicles will stay on the road as long as older analog types. Once all the electronics start fizzing out on them. The cost to replace will exceed the entire value of the car. Maybe that is the grand scheme from the auto makers anyway...

And I thought changing the driving lights on my C5 was a bitch. (Have aftermarket ram air ducts that make it even more fun)

$500 isn't too bad. I thought I had an AC actuator going out on the vette, original estimate was $1,700. Turns out it was just low on freon.

My mothers brothers son works in a body shop owned by grandfathers brothers son. We'll be tearing into this mess someday soon after the shop closes up for the day.

I can't fault you for that as long as they know what they are doing. That is too nice of a rig to half-ass something.

Long about what I did to my '72, the lo beams of later Camaro bulbs needed replacing, junkyard finds.....so to pliar off the bulb from the glue on the expensive glass bulb, and RTV an exact replacement in place for cheep.....

I say same for any car.....being an ET, If it was mine, I make it work enough for any inspector......some guys can't change a lightbulb, what can I say????
