Made a nice dent on schedule A. It's good to be alive, but it's not always cheap. |

That's the price we pay for getting older. My family has consistently had an approx. $12K/year deduction for medical/dental/drug expense for several years now. My young daughter (26-years-old), though, makes up for a lot of it. First, a car wreck that required teeth repair, then a $4K visit to the ER in California, and so on. This year she's had the flu that laid her low.
I'm the oldest in the family, but I have the lowest medical expenses. Which doesn't exactly prove my point about getting older, does it? |
