We are shopping. It’s a process. Did a bunch before covid bs and are back on it. Have a couple of places to check out for glass packs. The tint has to match the windows/doors obvy and they will. Much cheaper that way to do it. Window world doesn’t do glass packs, Andersen does. But fk Andersen and their spensive azz chit. I will buy quality but it won’t be them.

Yes I could but we need windows. I knew that when we bought. It’s cold in the winter and hot in the summer so our utility bill is huge. Wood burning fireplaces help but also cost money. There’s a lot of glass. It’s one thing we love about it. We are also closely surrounded by a lot of mature trees which we also love. I don’t think I have any intention of clearing them for cars. I did but I’m over that. For now anyway.



Oh yeah. Most of the glass is foggy because compromised seals and fiddy y.o. Can’t wait for it to be crystal clear for more bird strikes.

Have you looked at Pella? We did an add on sun room when we lived in PA that had French doors from the living room to the sun room and then large floor to ceiling Windows with built in blinds for the walls. Wasn’t exactly cheap but was at least somewhat reasonable

We have a “wall of windows” - four 8 ft sliders. There is some minor sag in the middle because fiddy y.o. so they don’t open/close well. They have to be custom made to fit and be level and not look stupid. We have eight 8ft sliders altogether. They all have to be custom made because of the size. They want literally thousands more for black frames instead of white. WTF.

Have not tried pella. I know of them and who knows.

We are shopping. It’s a process. There is a bullet that needs bitten and I ain’t made of money.
