The brick has turned out great, I'm really happy with that.

He doesn't cut that stone with a saw either, he uses a hammer and chips away at it...the guy is amazing.

There is a guy who is at the Kutztown Folk Festival every year who does amazing stone work. Ken Saul is a master with the chisel and makes it look easy. The true masters do amazing work.

Your guy looks like top notch work too.

Being a contractor up north, I had a good brick mason on call for various jobs, and when selling the folks' house, I got good and pissed at the damn RFD mailbox always being hit or vandalized, and the 30 years of constant PIA that damn thing was.....problem out in rural areas especially as more kids/folks move there.....

SO I got him to dig a hole about a yard each direction, on side of the road, and plant a good size I beam in the middle of it, just shy of mailbox height, and then build solid concrete block filled up with concrete, then face it with nice brick work.....HIT THAT, jerks......

a few years later, I saw it was removed.....no doubt some jerk hit the thing, and blamed the mailbox for totalling his dump truck.....
