Mirage Men is about how the US government used mythology to cover up their advanced technology. It prominently features Richard Doty, a retired Special Agent who worked for AFOSI, the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigation.

Thanks for posting. I'm recording it now on my Direct TV DVR. I want to show it to my son-in-law. He is an otherwise perfectly intelligent person who absolutely believes in every UFO story he has ever heard. He thinks all of our defense technology is reverse engineered from captured alien spaceships.

It takes a lot of manpower, technology, and $$$$$$$$$$$ to launch a single satellite into orbit. It we truly had back-engineered alien spacecraft tech... we would of abandoned the use of rockets and jet engines - decades ago.

That was not the conclusion though; instead that there was something found at one time. But all the dis-info that was spread since then (and not for covering up ET stuff... but now to hide govt black projects) makes it impossible to pick the real from the fake - of all the things we have read about over the years.

About 20 years ago, I was sitting at a little pier-side bar down on Topsail Island having a bite and a cold one. At the bar sat about a half-dozen grizzled old fisherman getting hammered and going on about UFO's and how computers are all alien technology, government conspiracy, etc. Eventually (and imminently) they drew me into their conversation.
Now, there were more old fisherman than there were programmers at that bar, and even way back then I had lived long enough to know which battles are worth fighting and which are not. So my response? "Yep, and you know those alien's buddies are gonna be looking for them. What are they gonna do if they get here and find out we're using their technology? Are they gonna take a closer look at us? And what happens if they find their dead buddies and a busted up ship that the government has been taking apart? What are they gonna do then?"
Well that got them all nodding in approval. And yeah, I knocked down quite a few beers and went full retard with the locals that night.
But I had a lot of fun.

I don't know exactly what is meant by "triangular craft,

but the F117a:

are triangles when looked at from below.

They are not "silent", but are quiet. I've been underneath both during a flyover, and you don't hear them at all until they get past you (and this is under 1500' altitude. Up at altitude, they are quiet - no matter what the orientation.

The flat matt black makes these planes seem a lot closer to ground level than they really are.

Same here. First time I saw one, it literally snuck up on us from behind, flying at about 500 feet. We were at an airshow and the announcer had us all looking north (this was planned) while a B2 came from the south. Someone tapped me on the shoulder and pointed at it. Literally at first I didn't know what I was looking at. Then it dawned on me and it was extremely eerie because it was just...silent. No other planes were in the sky at the time, and other than ambient crowd noise there wasn't any other sound to block out the noise of the B2's engines. Yet I heard nothing. Then it got right over the crowd and he goosed it, scared the shit out of about 80% of the crowd that was still unaware of its presence.

This happens with most planes approaching Mach speeds, not just a stealth bomber. It literally takes a bit for the engine sound to catch up.

So far we've been able to reverse engineer their localized maneuvering thrusters. We're still trying to reverse engineer their anti-gravity drives. Once we do that we will be able to travel through worm holes into the Delta quadrant.

It was flying in very slowly, just above stall speed it looked like. Then the pilot hit the throttle.
