In areas with lots of waves or marinas with lots of dumbass boaters, you can thread them on your lines and wrap it 2 or 3 times. The snubber is made out of tough rubber and it will stretch.....depending on # of wraps....eliminating the jerking when line tightens. It also protects the line itself and the cleat.
