Morning all. My lawn needs some water so I'm going to wash the truck. I know that if I wash it, it will rain within 10-12 hours regardless of the forecast.

Also haircut day. Going for a zero blade. I'm working my way to a full shaved head...lumps bumps and all.

Long time employee/good friend's son was murdered Thursday morning by a homeless man in the parking lot of the fitness club he managed. Would have been 28 Friday.

His father and I took him to Vegas when he turned 21, 7 years ago next week. He spent most of his time getting old guys to their rooms at 9pm. headed up to be with the family for the week.

According to Fuel Fitness and Nutrition assistant manager Matt Underhill, he and Hurley confronted a man in the gym’s parking lot who had been living in his vehicle at the gym for several weeks. They refunded the man’s unused gym membership and told him he needed to leave. The man demanded more money from the gym, and when told they could not offer him more, he responded that they were going to die and pulled out a gun.

forgot to mention Matt was shot in the face so the family was not able to view the body... he did die instantly according to authorities.

When we shut down mental institutions, we exposed everyone to these people. Saying they aren't bad people is like saying you can find a good slice of bread in a dumpster. Maybe the recently made homeless are decent, but over time they will learn not to be in order to survive.

Way too young to die and especially under stupid circumstance.

Matt's father was able to meet the no-nonsense hero who shot the homeless man. Army Veteran who heard the shots, ran to his pickup to get his firearm, and was wounded by the homeless man but still made it to the candlelight vigil last evening.

Last I heard the dude was pretty fekk'd up and on life support. Kalispell is pretty libbed up with ex-pHrEds so if he recovers, they'll probably give him a home on Flathead Lake with a monthly allowance.
