In 1970 when the first McD's got built within bike distance, I got $1 to eat dinner on Friday night. That would get me a Big Mac (0.55), fries (0.25) and soda (0.15). With tax, it was $0.99.
I can even remember having to convince mom that the prices went up and I needed $1.25 in the early 70's. |
