I broke the little toe on my left foot by catching a Klipsch La Scala speaker while running to the bathroom during a pitching change in a Cubs/Mets game in the late 80's. Back in the good old days with the Shawn-o-meter and Harry Caray.

About ten years ago I was walking my dog, off leash as usual, through the woods next to my home. While walking back, maybe 200' from the house, I stepped in a hole with my right foot. I fell onto a large log and landed right on my lower rib cage, right side.

I couldn't breathe for about a minute. Turns out I broke the lowest rib, and it still hurts once in a while if I sit at my desk too long.

My worst accident was a few years back.
Downstairs has a wooden gate divider so dogs stay in a restricted area.
Gate is easily moved by me or wifey so we do not have to maneuver over it.
Well, sometimes, when in a hurry, I go over the top.
Came home one Saturday, with a few bags of groceries in tow, no free hands, so I went over it.
Caught my right foot on the top, got airborne, my right knee took 100% of the impact.
Pretty sure I blacked out for a second, or two, as came around on the floor, the intense pain brought me back into reality.
Doggies were not concerned, no love from them, they were too busy trying to tear open the doggies treats I had just bought them.

That shit hurt for like three days, swollen, not bruised, but damn, I should have been wiser.

That’s one of those injuries where - when it happens, you know it’s bad. You don’t even have to see it to know. In fact, it takes a minute to even get the courage to look down at it.

I would not go out in my backyard at night without having all
my senses and not bare foot. Florida bears roam around at night.
They usually see a person and run but momma bears will protect
their cubs and dont run. I pee in the bathroom ,at least at night.
