I think the picture is getting clearer the more people re-post his stuff and those that spoke to him recently....

It looks like this was mostly about financials....he is retired, but it looks like he was in trouble with the IRS. I would guess back taxes and penalties might have been larger, spanning many years. If he has a lump sum pension, the gov't most likely moved to take it, so with no job, few options, he was in the process of selling it all off for money, but was staring Chap11 in the face. Again no excuse, and doesn't explain killing his wife...

He posted about "his past mistakes" so now I think those were IRS related...

I believe the wording was "recently diagnosed with schizophrenia and paranoia". Diagnosed means that symptoms have been present for 1 - 6 months per DSM IV. Here are the criteria for being diagnosed with the disease:



I do not want to start a 2nd amendment battle here, as I am for legal gun ownership. When should one lose such a privilege?

I'm not buying this either. My follow up question for Jesse would be if he knew about firearms in the house, and whether he did anything about it.

Perhaps you should do some research. It's a disorder that appears in children an young adults. It is virtually unheard of developing in people in their 50's.

He was a cop for 30 years. If he had the disorder it would have been discovered and he would not have been armed in uniform.
