What type of charge does it require? The one in the commercial doesn't look like a standard household 120v.

The 220v charging station will cost you $1499, and it is installed by Best Buy.
That's $500-1000 cheaper than GM & Nissan. |

I just renewed my power contract, and they offered that renewable plan. I asked if there was a cost difference, it was more, so I declined. I'm sure it is just a scam anyways.

I always thought wind-tubines were a defense measure against another Avian flu attack.

They leak gear oil, cause noise pollution, take a ton of raw materials to produce, kill birds by the thousand, the list goes on and on.

Nice, but still not... quite... enough... range.
I'd need a guaranteed 150 (summer) miles to be able to have one for a commuter. I have to go about 110 miles a day, some stop-and-go traffic, on my daily routes. |

Please. Leak gear oil? Really? That's a monumental environmental concern compared to a nuke plant or a coal-fired generation station? I've driven across West Texas where turbines grow like sunflowers and believe me there aren't thousands of flocks of birds out there to kill. And in the middle of the Panhandle there's nobody around for the noise pollution to bother. I think there's somebody with an agenda out there looking to create reasons for wind power to not be a good idea. The biggest drawback to wind is that there aren't any transmission lines from the production areas to the consumption areas. |

Those windmills ARE near consumers. There are birds to consider in that area, however, I do agree with you about the menace of gear oil pollution....is that really the best argument that can be made against windmills? Really? Also, as far as noise, there were windmills on either side of the highway, and I really didn't notice much noise from them, and they were turning the whole time I was in the area. I'd say you have to be really close to a turbine to actually have problems with noise. |

I don't really care either way, but you asked the question. Also, the more bs regulation that gets put in place the more work their is for consulting engineers and scientists. |
