No more boring DD
I have been driving a boring DD for the better part of 6 years now. I decided that it was time I got a new to me car. It had to have a back seat and a V8. The best bag for the buck turned out to be a 2004 GTO 6 speed.
After driving it for almost a week I can say I really like it. This car has turned my boring commute into what driving to work should be... Fun. |

Did you get it because it has a 5.7 LS1 Corvette engine in it or for the Blaupunkt 200-watt, 10-speaker audio system? According to the reviews I have read about it, the Pontiac GTO is about the closest thing to a 4-door with a trunk Corvette that you can get. I have been admiring them myself but haven't done the deed yet.

No snow in Houston It handles very well for a car.
I got it because it is a LS1 6 speed and most important to me RWD. I never thought they were good looking cars it's growing on me. I just don't like the front fascia. It came without a radio and I dont miss it yet . I'm not planning on modding it just yet maybe some wheels and tires. |

I've always thought that Pontiac made much better looking cars than the rest of GM, Corvette aside of course!
TransAm always looked better than Camaro (to me), Sunfire nicer than Cobalt, GTO better than Impala, etc. |

Awesome!
If the name didn't give me away, I have a bit of a fondness for the GTO. I loved mine... it was 1 of the first red/red cars off the line. That car has without a doubt the best interior I have EVER owned in a car (the big Denali doesn't count ) I keep thinking about getting another as a DD. |
