Latest possible life in the so-called "wild west" so I'd have the most modern amenities possible. Hard to imagine there was a time people were TRULY free in this country. No gun permits, no license plates, no bloated federal government on your back. Lots of wide open spaces, and the unadulterated risk and danger of true independence and freedom. I'd take all the bad of back then for a chance to see so much unmolested frontier and the chance to live however I damn well please.

Travel in time and live out the rest of my days? Hell, that's easy. I'd go back in time, maybe a year or so. I'd win every lottery and make book on sports betting. It would border on the ridiculous how much money I would make betting knowing the outcome of games, lottery numbers, etc., for the following year.

Why not live now? For those with means, the near present offers the pinnacle of modern civilization, air conditioning, flat screen tv's, latest health care, etc.

Of course, I don't gamble currently, but if I suddenly knew all the right bets, I would be willing to start.
