Default Buddy of mine was murdered last night
He wasnt a close friend, but a friend nonetheless. It happened about a 1/2 mile from my house where he was staying with his mother and step father while he and his wife were building a house.
His mother and wife were away in FL doing something, and he had been arguing with his stepfather all week I guess. He was at another friends house, and was complaining about having to go home, but he needed to get to bed for work Monday, and said if they get into it, he'll just sleep in his camper.
Well, I guess they got into it, and his step father shot him in the gut, and he died at the hospital. All the details are not known, but it was no secret they did not get along.
The guy that was shot was an iron worker, and he would work for my dad when he was laid off. Good worker, funny fugger too, but crazier than a shithouse rat!!
He just stopped by the house the other day, and was talking to me and my son while we were out playing in the yard, and he was fishing with my brother Saturday night.

My sympathy man, the friends I have lost in about 50 years, including my best friend from HS yet....is ASStounding, doubtful anyone here has lost as many unless the survived some MAJOR .mil conflict....

the attrition rate is asstounding, ....I can't figger it, really...
