My .02 - I'm tired of it. Seems like all the local ricers with their fart pipes are blacking out the wheels. IMHO it's overdone.

It's your car, so go with what you like...

since you asked for opinions. Besides the fact that it is just WAY overdone. I don't really care for the look...the all black look (black car, black wheels, black intereior, black top) is way too one note...kinda like a song with one chord, it can sound ok, but it is just boring. It does not have to be loud and flashy, but subtle differences can really make the car's appearance pop. I like the idea of the gun metal grey...it is subdued but noticeable.

i disagree in some cases. on mine, i wanted the touch of the stainless lip because it brings out the "silver" on the 50th anniv emblem, the chrome "CORVETTE" lettering on the front license plate and rear end and the chrome exhaust tips. its a perfect compliment IMO

Definite yes to the black wheels on a black car. However I never have liked the turbo twist wheel design, so I'd pick something different.

I don't like black wheels on any car or motorcycle. The way I see it, the dark color tends to hide details in the wheels that I'd rather see. And, I do like the contrast with the vehicle color.
