You and your neighbor are gonna have some good eatin', friend! Gardening is good for the stomach and the soul.

That's a lot to ask of anyone! Who can resist a few ears of fresh sweet corn with butter dripping from it? I could eat sweet corn for every meal! BTW, are you gonna stay outta their maters?

I don't eat rabbit food. Tomatoes are poison except in ketchup.

Aside from staking each stalk, the only thing that works is to run some fishing line on each side of the stalks down each row.

Like I said before, I don't know if that has any affect on the corn other than looking funny. I have a few that are crooked, and they have ears of corn on them.

Makes it easier for the groundhog to get to the corn.

Yep! Supposed to be one coming in Tuesday or Wednesday. It'll be 97 today, heat index of 105-107. When anything puts out new growth, it just turns brown. It was upper 90's-100 most of May, too. Plus we've had 50 mph wind that blows my maters off the vine. This is the only year that I've ever thought about not planting a garden again.

In the last week I have already picked over 6 lbs each zuccs, yellow squash and cucs and picked another basket tonight. Got over 3lbs of blue lake string beans and 60 nice radishes too.
Sweet peas and sugar snaps are done for the year..........to much heat, but got over 6lbs shelled.
Tomates, Lopes, calabash squash, corn, carrots and pumpkins are looking good
