So I stubbed my toe a couple of days ago....

I woke up in the middle of the night and had to pee. I was sleepy. Rather than most probably piss on the toilet seat, I just went outside to pee, but forgot I had a DPF canister on the back patio. Walked right into it and....damn. The toenail of the big toe was literally knocked off, whole. Very painful, as you might imagine from having a nail literally ripped off. Feels better now, just minor discomfort.

Edit: I think we should consider an LSpencer Award of Excellence for self injury here. What better tribute could be have to our friend and fallen member?

I like the idea of an LSpencer award for self injury. Larry seemed to have an innate talent for harming himself (usually involving power tools or farm equipment). I think he would approve of a VBOT award in his name

I dog sat for a friend of mine, which turned out to be about 3 weeks of puppy training. And yes, I took the dog out to pee, just to help him understand that we pee outside, not on the carpet.

We had mixed results during his stay.

This would not have happened....If you clipped your toenails weakly...any toenail beyond the toe is too long...I hope this helps.

I rarely drink, and if I do, it's 1-2 drinks, maybe 3 once every few years, if I'm really having fun. So no, stone cold sober, so I got the full pain experience.

I am considering suing Dodge, for making the DPF particularly heavy and solid, though.

nailed my toe a few years ago, after the nail came off, it took well over a year to heal. Mofo was still sensitive after a year. Still kinda ****ed up and it's been 2.5 years

Tonight I walked outside just to see what the temperature was like, and my buddy the opossum was outside chowing down on the bowl of cat food I had left out for the little tuxedo kitty that comes over to visit Fuzz every day. We were both a little startled.
