Default Good bye B.O.B. He left to go be with Barkley today
My dachshund passed on this afternoon about an hour ago. He was 17 years old, had a good run, and we (me and the family) had a great run with him for the last 13 years. He is buried next to his best friend, Barkley (great Dane), that he was raised with and I know they both appreciate that.

Frederick, our remaining mini-dach, is the same age and laid next to him while he passed. He's been in his little corner by the fireplace on top of his blankets whimpering for the last hour, too.

Sadly, not right now. I'm rarely home and can't give them the time they deserve. B.O.B. stayed with my parents after I moved out because of the huge yard, other dogs and pets, and somebody here most of the time. I always made sure to stop by after work and on weekends though to see family and spend time with him.

It wouldn't be fair to a new pup and my parents who are getting up there in years if the pup had to stay with them.

I'll have to do that when I get home to my computer later. Been at the 'rents house all day making more marinara sauce.

Sad part is, when I'm in the kitchen, B.O.B. was usually right there supervising. Yeah, I know he was waiting for treats and scraps, but he'd lay there in the middle of the floor. When I left, he'd follow. Gonna miss him.
