What we need is someone who is rich, computer tech savvy, who already works a zillion hours a week and doesn't mind working a few more.

Maybe give it a fancy new name, like The Wiz Barn.

I am none of these things, but I AM very humble and highly unlikely to abuse authority so I'd be glad to to do admin duty and I can assure you any changes would be very slight and unnoticeable.

I would not bring back Thunderdome, give people humiliating avatars, create a Gulag forum to which I would banish posters on a whim, or rename subforums after myself.

Based on what we are using as far as monthly data, we could just ship this whole thing over to VBulletin and have them host the site for us completely.

Keep in mind - there are two one-time fees in these images.

$239.70 to have them move everything over to their servers.
$199.00 to have them set our forum up with a mobile app. (Our current app was written by Y2KVert4Me and he has to pay $10/month out of his own pocket to keep it active in the app stores)

After these are paid - our monthly fee would be $39.95/month or we could do an annual billing for $359.95 (I am sure there will be taxes or some other associated fees) but if we go to a cloud architecture - we do not need to have a tech savvy person on call and administration/uptime is offloaded to the vendor.

i've never used the mobile app, how many use that?

i'm in for at least $25/year (same as now), and maybe even $50/year.

I wish Mike (IronChef) would chime in; he stepped forward and ran the forum during it's startup. Even at the beginning when there were <100 pervs... it was a handful of work on IC's part. I always appeciated his effort on VB.

The later versions of VBulletin have a built in Mobile App. No need to write custom code any more. The Vettebarn is two versions out of date.
