I hate to break it to you, but you encounter numerous homosexuals on a daily basis, and if your gaydar isn't humming, you don't even know it.
As a group, or singularly, they don't bother you, however, you have it in your head that they are horrible, or *pick your own word*.
What it all comes down to is that you feel empowered to bully them in person or via keyboard.
It really makes you look small and shallow.
You'll brag about your new dog, who btw has a 50% chance of being homosexual, but you'll go out of your way to verbally abuse a human being.
I pity you for eliminating that percentage of contributing, human beings from your lives.

just yesterday, there was a story about a little girl buying a doll. girl is white, doll is black. the clerk repeatedly asked her if she really wanted that doll. why yes. the doll is pretty, and so am i. the doll is a doctor, and that's what the kid wanted to be.

My BIL and his partner both have said I would be totally safe if I went into any gay establishment. I'm not sure if I should be glad or that I have no attraction.

I have a friend who owns a gay bar downtown.
He's not gay, but can be one mean SOB if he needed to be.
He had to go pick up money on a shift change, so my GF at the time and I went with him once.
Man, they loved the new meat...
Definitely not my cup of tea, but hey... Whatever. It was most amusing hearing the comments at the bar, such as, I bet you look better laying down.... My GF had a riot....
They had no idea that I wasn't gay, so I had to give them all a pass. It's not like that happens overtly anywhere else but in a gay bar.
It is what it is.... I can't believe that people care so much.
