You are right, Phil, I'd be more than pissed.
As I told you in PM, I don't like you being banned (especially if you did nothing "wrong,") simply because you're an old timer there just like I am. This whole St Jude vs NCM thing doesn't sit well with me, either. Like you, I support both. It reminds me of the couple who pledged a very large sum to the NCM a few years ago ($1.3 million if I recall correctly) and the people who were angry about that, saying it should have gone to a "real" charity, ie a life saving charity. I guess those people were saying "lives vs passion." As for saying that "lives vs passion" are oil and water....wow. Not in my book!!! What is life with no passion for anything? Thanks for sharing the "background" of your complaints. I still don't like all the whining here from those who "poke the bear" on purpose then whine with it bites them or who don't like "the club," but I'd say you have been very much a member of "the club," and this whole NCM/St Jude ruckus is disturbing. |

Joecoool a member of "the Club?" that's funny. the "Bear" is hypocritical & biased. if you haven't realized that in all your years there, no amount of talking on anyone else's part on here will convince you. some of us came to this realization late in the game. I suspect you will too,IF in fact you do at all.

Also, since I don't post on and on about my beefs with them, you are making some mighty large assumptions about my lack of "realization" of the situation. |

You've hinted at this before Phil, but I didn't realize the full extent of it. Just damn.
I've had my own issues with jesse (the whole jackyl t-shirt deal) and that reads exactly how jesse writes. Last edited by Entropy; 03-31-2010 at 7:32pm. |

If what Phil said was true, I think that reflects poorly on the mods, especially the PM's. |

I met you back near one of my first cruise in's. It was the year you came late with the Supercharged Z06, the first one from Lingenfelder. I thought you were a stand up type person with a lot of passion for the Corvette and the community involved with the Corvette. Your leaving the CF is their loss. Maybe we all can help the NCM from here instead of there. After 8 cruise in's I don't think I'll be heading down there this year. I might stop in to see a few friends if the company can settle the contract and I don't have to wait around to run equipment if a work stoppage happens. I currently am Vetteless but still support the NCM. I make a few trips a year down to the museum and usually end up spending a few dollars in the store or on a raffle they have going on. One day soon I'll be back in a Vette and want the Museum to be there when I do. Leo |

Geez, I'm all for helping kids too, but at 300K/yr they're not exactly keeping the doors open (1.2M per day?!?) - that's for sure. Seems like there is plenty of room for both charities, and rather than worry about how much of what money is going where, he should be more concerned with just feeling good that he and others are making a difference - period. I wonder how he feels about all the millions of dollars raised at Graceland over the last 30 years, for example. I mean, should every charity organization close up shop so all $ can go to SJ? There's plenty of $ to go around, so much that we (Americans) even send it to other countries. He's truly blinded by his own agenda.
