Default Vegas...washed and waxed the rental car again. :)

Got here safely, weather is to die for.

The Maserati is actually pretty beat up. It's got 7500 miles on it and you can tell they are hard miles. It looks a lot better now that I cleaned it up.

I wish it were a coupe, as those body lines are to die for. Regardless, this thing is ROOMY. I have at least 2-3" of headroom.

No big wins yet.

This is the 3rd year in a row I've rented from them. The Huracan I got last year had less than 2,000 miles on it and was flawless. I heard someone since me wrecked it in Red Rock Canyon.

I’ve rented several from there, this being one of them. 97 miles when we got it

Compared to the Dodge Caravan mini vans we used to pick up at the airport as rentals while playing at NAFB, I'm not really impressed Data. We could haul a large cooler of beer, at least 6 derelict Air Force Crew Chiefs, and a hooker. Plus, you could achieve at least 120 mph coasting down the ski lodge side of Mt. Charleston. Not that I ever would have done that, or know anyone that would.

I see they have a Jag SVR 575 HP. Considering that or the Aston Martin Vantage for next year's rental. However, if they have a C8 by then, that would be more than enough for me for the entire trip.

Try my tried-and-true roulette strategy. This works, it really does. Probably.

Wake up and pick a number between 6 and 10. That's your magic number that day! Now go to a casino and put $100 on any table you see that has that number (or more) of a single color wins in a row. Bet on the other color. If you lose, that's it, you're done for the day. Vegas hates you today, go find something else to do. If you win, keep at it.

I've won over $1000 in a single day doing this, average probably $500, and have had only a couple one-and-dones. The fun part is there's always a break between wins as you wait for another table to get to that number of consecutive color-streaks, or move to another casino on your current win-streak. And the most you can lose is that first bet. Of course to you $100 is nothing but that's my max bet period.

Best part of a GT car, 4 people can ride in it. Mom's off to work, G in front, and my half sister and my nephew in the back.

For us the C8 if they have one. If not then an Aston Martin.

We took the Jag because a father/son combo took both C7’s the morning we were there

I've waxed virtually every rental car I've ever had since I've been coming to Vegas. For the last 6 years, it's been nothing but exotics and Corvettes. I grew up working at a car wash starting at 14. Personally, I can't stand driving a dirty car. "Clean" to a rental car agency is not clean to a car geek. The wheels were gnarly, so I washed the rims inside and out. I spent $1,500 on this car alone for 3 days. I want it to look like the $175,000 car that it is. Hell, I spent another $81 on supplies today at the auto parts store.

I will be washing and waxing the C7 I pick up on Monday. I keep that one until Sunday the 25th.

Learn how to turn the wheels when you take pics.

The whole point of turning the wheels is to show the face of the wheel, not the dirty ugly tire tread.

DO BETTER.

I understand clean. If my rental was a mess, and most are, I’d absolutely wash and vacuum. But I’d stop there.

You don't fit in the C7, so you'll be exchanging it for the Aston. How's the legroom in the Maserrari?

pfft - rental car - drive it like you stole it. Last time I was at the big island I rented a jeep, drove the bitch to the green sand beach. Old lava flows play hell on those tires, couldn't care less. Made the full 360* of Maui in a Buick, 1/2 ain't paved - didn't care. Busted a curb on the Long Island Expressway doing 70 to make the exit for the airport - so what. I love rental cars, take a new car and drive the ever loving shit out of it, turn it in while acting all innocent - hah lol
