New GX65 arrived yesterday, car is almost ready, champagne is packed, LA products purchased, lots of books for Liz, bunch of beads (Mardi Gras and real stuff) and a few other things.

I'm heading out on Tuesday, spending the night with relatives in Nashville then up to BG on Wed. morning.

The difference in mileage is minimal (679.96 vs 683.60) to go through Maryland but it saves about 15 minutes (at least according to Mapquest) in that there are no two lane roads involved and there does not appear to be any construction along this route. We've both gone the I-66 to I-81 to I-77 and then down I-65 but the link between Lexington and Beckley is normally under construction.

Going the northern route is, admittedly, less scenic but lends itself to high speed cruising.
