Yes, those are indeed Maxwell's Equations in differential equation form.

The first equation tells how the electric flux leaving a given volume is proportional to the charge inside that volume.

The second equation basically says there are no magnetic monopoles.

The third equation states that the voltage induced in a closed loop of conductor is proportional to the rate of change of the magnetic flux that the closed loop contains.

The forth equation is the corollary of the third, which shows how the magnetic field induced in a closed loop is proportional to the electric current (moving charges) and in addition the rate of change in that current. Meaning it can have both DC and AC components in current and can add together to make the resulting magnetic field.

if you make a dozen cupcakes (round) you can put them in a box (could be square), but 12 is not a square number, so you'll need a rectangular box if you don't want them bouncing around and making a mess.

but if you eat 3 of them, then a square box (3x3) for the remainder of your round cupcakes would work fine.

Interesting thing about Maxwell's Equations. Maxwell came up with them decades before Einstein came up with his general theory of relativity. Not only were Maxwell's equations found to be relativistically invariant (meaning they held true even in relativistic conditions) but when given full relativistic treatment the electric and magnetic fields are symmetric and reduce to just two equations. I just think that it's neat that Maxwell really did come up with a very fundamental set of equations that held up years later after relativity was causing so many other supposed "fundamental" laws and equations to not be really fundamental at all.

Definitely the most brilliant theoretical physicist of his time.

I hated solving those equations in classical physics.

They can be a real bear and often can only be approximated. You need to have proper boundary conditions and initial conditions carefully specified to even have a prayer. Unfortunately for old Maxwell, even his equations have been superseded by quantum electrodynamics. Sorta in the way Newtonian physics was superseded by relativity, in the extremes of either super strong electric/magnetic fields or in the quantum realm the equations break down, sometimes spectacularly. Mainly because they don't account for the photon, which is the carrier of the electromagnetic force.
