I ask b/c my dad had one new back then, 1970 LT1 vert, 4sp, it was blue with a white top and interior. He said it was quick but the biggest pos he ever owned!!

Easiest way to tell 70-71-72 Monte Carlo is by looking at the front bumper.

70 Round turn signals in bumper
71 Rectangular turn signals in bumper
72 upright rectangular turn signals next to grill ( smooth bumper )

I had a 70 Monte Carlo Loved that car. Would like to find another some day, could you tell if they were any good?

I'm not in a huge hurry, as I'd like to accumulate some cash. Perhaps next spring I'll be in a position to buy something nice. Right now, my budget is for something not so nice.
