Fighting with insurance and Dr over MRI approval. They didn't submit blah blah blah,.
Bunch of ****tards in that Dr office... Insurance lady called them to straighten shit out so can get approved.
Why th e hell do we have to know what's supposed to be done in what order by whom? Is there a class I missed or a flowchart somewhere to navigate the turd piles of Dr's and insurance.
I'm about to visit the Dr and say some bad words as they knew last week was denied and called my at 8am this morning saying yes I had to have MRI(i emailed last week about it since wass taking so long for approval) as appt is next week hopefully to discuss treatment otherwise what's the point of going again and again.

You have every right to rant.

The vast majority of people working in the medical field don’t have a clue how to deal with insurance companies. Those that DO KNOW are aware insurance companies always say “no” and you have to pull teeth to get a yes!

I deal with this every single day at the lung cancer screening program I run. I literally have 30+ data points that must be entered exactly to get approval from insurance companies and each insurance is a little different. It’s maddening for us and of course the patients. Took me a year of research to perfect this ONE LUNG CT SCAN ORDER!

Stupid games they make you play and it’s all a ploy to refuse paying.

The idiotic part is, all the hoops they make you jump through as a patient to get many of these diagnostic tests approved, end up costing them more.

Sorry you have to deal with this on top of the stress of your condition!

Insurance lady called back said she left a detailed message for Dr... Hopefully they call back in a day or so she says.... We both laughed, she'll call back Wednesday she said.
I had already warned her of the issues of getting ahold of the correct person.
She's kinda pissed at the run around and lack of documentation from Dr and wants test approved, good maybe the people paying the bills can get some action.
We had a long talk and told her the whole story, helps they know what is actually good on.

Unless you already do, wait until you start screwing with Medicare. My wife has it. (I use VA). She had pre approval from Medicare on a procedure last year. Dr office submitted it all after the procedure.

Medicare still sent a bill for the exact amount they were to cover. Took 6 months to clean that mess up

Other than fixing code violations, you will not get your money's worth in sale price, better to just skip the hassle and give the next owner a discount so they can fix it up themselves.
