That’s either a 59 or 60. I don’t see a washboard hood

I'm going with 59 based on black wheels...although I don't know if body colored wheels included white.

Original picture corrected that it's not a 58 Corvette. A 58 Chevrolet Corvette, has the mentioned spears on the front hood and back trunk as on the below picture.

The '56-'61 Corvettes offered a contrasting cove color as an option. In '62 it was not an option. The two colors offered for the coves were argent silver and white. I have seen black, red, and blue painted coves over the years, but none of these was 'factory'. The car in the original photo appears to have red painted coves (probably to go with the red interior). But being a B&W, can't be certain. The '62 resto mod in the bottom photo has a '58-'60 grille and headlamp bezels installed. Ii had been looking for a C2 for years when I found my aircraft hangar abandoned '61 back in 2015. After going through it mechanically and driving it, I no longer want a C2. The crude, go-cart ride quality and sheer vintage looks of the car won me over. Nothing like the dash on the C1, IMO. Way cooler than any other 'vette. Here's my '61:Click image for larger version

Interested in the cove color in the picture. I thought those years ('59 and '60) the cove colors that were offered we either white or silver.

Wonder where that dealership was located?

Love the old pictures too!

That black and silver Corvette is without a doubt one of the finest representations of an automobile I have ever seen!!

There are many Corvettes I drool over, that one has just taken the lead spot!!

THANKS!!

The '58 was trying too hard with spires and and washboard hood. Too many adornments for the sake of adornments.

They got it very right in '62. Easily the best year of that generation.

And 67 was arguably the best year of the Sting Ray generation.
Not sure 83 was the best year C3.
