I think he's ready for his first colonoscopy. Probably needs a prostate check also.

Wait until you hit the 60's.

Quote:
10. Prostate Cancer. Research suggests that a man's risk of prostate cancer rises from .005 percent to 2.2 percent after the age of 40. Early detection can save your life, which is why scheduling an annual exam is a must.

9. Clogged Arteries. Over time, plaque can build up in the arteries and start to cause inflammation and even clogging. This could trigger other health-related issues that include erectile dysfunction and heart attack.

8. Erectile Dysfunction. This disorder tends to be linked to other health issues. Obesity and even poor circulation can lead to erectile dysfunction, which affects close to 30 million Americans. It is always best to get it checked out.

7. Elevated Homocysteine. This byproduct of digestion can dramatically increase your risk of suffering a heart attack. Elevated levels of homocysteine, which affects between 20 to 40 percent of men, can be reduced through exercise and diet that eliminates dairy and red meat.

6. Stroke. Studies suggest that, after the age of 45, your risk of stroke doubles for every decade. While you are never too young to pay attention to risk factors such as elevated blood pressure, smoking and sedentary lifestyle, your 40s means now is the time to do so.

5. Heart Disease. Like the rest of your body, the heart ages. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S. so adopting healthy lifestyle habits to safeguard your ticker is essential in your 40s.

4. Low Magnesium. Magnesium helps to limit cholesterol in the bloodstream. If you have made lifestyle changes yet your cholesterol levels remain high you may want to turn your attention to your magnesium levels.

3. High Cholesterol. Heart disease, stroke and various other health issues are linked to high cholesterol, which is why it is important to control these levels. However, diets that limit cholesterol may not be enough. You may be at risk of high cholesterol and not even know it. Which is why it is important to have it checked out regularly.

2. Melanoma. As men reach middle age, their risk for sun cancers such as melanoma increases. This is because sun damage is cumulative. Wearing sunscreen is a must, but so is paying attention to changes in the skin. Look out for growths or discolorations and let your doctor or dermatologist know immediately.

1. Mesothelioma-.The risk of developing this asbestos-related disease increases among men over 40. The issue is that symptoms such as chest pain, wheezing and coughing tend to be associated with other less serious health issues but if you have a history of exposure to asbestos it is essential to inform your primary care physician.

According to my dad, he was fine until he hit 70.

I'm in my 50s (younger than Don and Moe).

I have zero aches and pains, but many of my contemporaries have all kinds of ailments, both physical and mental. I feel so very lucky and blessed.

Think 42 sucks... Wait another 10 or 20... It'll be awesome.
Bifocals suck, I just use cheap ass readers as I don't need glasses except for driving.

Man, I picked up these bifocals last night. No lines in them, but it's like looking through a fish bowl if I move my eyes too fast side to side or turn my head to fast. I walked right into a ****ing window on the way out of the store last night and said fuggit...I'm putting my old pair back on to drive home

Good call. I have been blessed with good vision 15/20, but fine print is starting to catch up with me.

I'm thinkin you didn't start out with the sturdiest chassis.

How do you break yourself down as an O in the signal corps?

1. Waving flags too vigorously?
2. Standing downwind of the smoke signals?
3. Burning yourself with coffee in the McDonalds drive through?
4. Calluses on your bowling fingers?
5. Capsaicin in the eyes from too many buffalo wings?

Please check all that apply.
