Default 2008 Toyota Tacoma with 1.2 Million Miles...

Kind of an advertisement, but still...impressive.

Stock Suspension
Original Spark Plugs replaced at around 700k.
Engine Replacement at 880k.

Otherwise, nothing but maintenance...

I agree, and this statement "Original Spark Plugs replaced at around 700k". Typical high end spark plugs are good for only ~100k. I sure hate to see what those looked like at 700k.

If you've replaced the engine, you've done a little more than "routine maint"

I actually do know a guy with a 93 Toyota Truck with close to 1 million on it. The only major thing he has done to it was a head gasket. He's had to replace a few clutches over the last 30 years, but other than that routine maintenance. He had it resprayed a few years ago, truck looks pretty damn good for how old it is.

And here I am fighting my step daughters' 2011 Toy car with the 1.8 L 4 banger......oil/filter change, stupid plastic cap on the filter is stuck on the engine/but good, can't get it to spin off, so just the oil changed.....

I understand from parts guys that stock the new plastic cap for 45 bux that ALL makers sell just filters for like 5 bux, but then have to put them in a housing with a typical plastic cap.....WTF is the matter with a PH5 and get hell over it already???

OK let's math this. 11 years × 24 hours/day x 365 days/year is 96,310 hours. Let's be generous and say the truck ran constantly at 50 mph for that time - 4.8M miles.

Is anyone willing to believe this truck ran at 50 MPH for 1/4 of the time it has existed?

I’m not sure about that but the dude is driving >100k a years to hit those numbers, 2k miles a week is a lot, 400 a day 5 days a week, that’s like being a truck driver
