I love the thing. In 9 years I've put on a master cylinder, a power window motor, and had the transmission gone through to cure a 2-3 shudder. Can't complain. It doesn't even leak a drop of anything.

I paid $5K for it in 2003, and it's got a ton of life left in it. A/C was converted to R134 by the previous owner, and is still ice cold....I've never even added refrigerant. All we really use it for is towing....will probably last me through retirement. I damn sure can't afford a new one now

A pic of the interior when I bought it. Still looks the same.

Actually, I have one of each....Mz Friz has a F150. Every driveway in Texas has at least one truck.

I had a 97 powerstroke f250 4x4. It was great until diesel went up to $3.That and I added a banks kit which was fun...then bigger injectors which promptly took out the E4OD in only about 3 weeks after that mod.

I put a detroit locker in it, new tires, and halfway rebuilt the front end and ttb axle. It actually drove straight, but I had to sit up on the engine working on it way too much. I wish I would have kept it because the 97's stayed smog-exempt.

It weighed 6000lbs and pulled almost 90 mph in the 1/4 mile- yes I took it once.

That's a sweet looking truck. Sounds like it ran to match.

I went about it the wrong way, but now that i know what to do with one, you can't find a square PSD with the CA splitshot injectors with low miles anymore. I got this one with 69,000. It was ugly too. I did all kinds of little things...like new headlamps from ford just to freshen up the look. I spent more money on that thing than my ZR-1 damn near...you can tell by the condition of my yard at the time where all of my spare time went...

Great set-up. Some large trout on the BBQ sound pretty tasty. No wonder you went dark, even the natives left.

When I first moved up here to WV I got some old man pissed at me...We were both sitting at tables outside a Sheetz store when these three girls in short shorts came walking up to the store.. The first thing I noticed was they had real bad teeth, or should I say "lack of".. The guy says to me "you like that young stuff huh"? I turned, and being the smart azz that I am I said, "yeah but put the three of them together and you still don't have a full set of teeth"..He pretty much ignored me the rest of the time I was there..It's a wonder someone up here hasn't shot me yet.....WW
