Ain't no one checking in from Long Island....
My BIL & SIL just happened to leave for the Poconos and are skiing there as we speak. Conditions are grand there!
They said the tricity is out back on the island though.

I'll have to get pics in the morning but the snow was over the top of the snow blower chute and mid chest height.

Drifts are easily 4' here and weather station put our totals are 24-26" with another 6-8" to go.

This is a substantial dusting even for a MI boy.

You wouldn't believe what I needed from the store this morning...

Yup, bread and milk. No joke.

So I schlepped to the Food Lion, because I'm not roadtripping the 4 miles all the way across town to the Cyberdyne Kroger/Skynet/Starbucks monstrosity.

Ever been the only shopper in a supermarket, like really, the only one... it's kinda cool.

One of the upsides of trying to eat healthy is that, even in the face of impending snowpocalypse, the norms don't buy that 12 grain bread your doctor says will keep your rectum from rotting.

It was so nice I said, "f*ck it" and did the whole grocery shop for the week right then. Breezed through checkout like a fart in a windtunnel and even got me one of those tiny plastic mexicans from the vending machine upfront.

Snow storms ain't so bad in Tennessee...
