Default I'm Not an EV Guy

But holy crap this is impressive. Hope @GrandSportC3 joins to tell us about the magic of seeing traffic in a roundabout and navigating same.

I'll never be at the point where I will want self-driving, but this new version of the software is insane.

I don't have Full Self Driving in my car.
Too expensive and FSD also monitors your eyes and shuts off if you look away for a few seconds. If you block the interior camera, FSD will not work.
Autopilot on the other hand works with the interior camera blocked as long as you touch the steering wheel at least every 30 seconds.
I've tried FSD when I had a loaner Tesla while my car was being serviced and it was a cool feature but it is still far from not requiring driver intervention. Yes, it can complete certain trips without making a mistake but in some scenarios, it gets confused. FSD works great in roundabouts but when making a left turn on a multiple lane road, FSD attempts to get into the turning lane way too late and then the car sits there with the blinker on, waiting for a chance to make it into the turning lane.

I would only trust self driving if all vehicles on the road were using it. Even then, unforeseen circumstances will kill people but probably less people killed than the current system.

A 73 year old guy in a self-driving car has a mechanical issue and is barreling towards a school bus full of kids (also self-driving) and one or the other vehicle has to make a lethal diversion to avoid the accident. The bus must either hit a telephone pole or the car must veer off a cliff.

Which one does the AI self-driving save ? This is prob coming in the next decade or so.

This is an easy one - the bus hits the telephone pole. The kids organs are worth more.
