We met the first week in college. When we graduated, I went to Memphis to go to med school and she went back to St Petersburg, where her family was from. Her family eventually moved to North Georgia, and she followed during the pandemic. That's when we got restarted.

My mom was a wedding planner for the church, which is a much different job than trying to do something outrageous. BY FAR the most demanding part of her job was communication. She had few "seasoned" couples getting a traditional church wedding, so much of the time is spent babysitting [Sexist] the bride and her mom [/Sexist]

I suspect you two are much less demanding. The church typically does this for a fairly nominal fee, say a few hundred unless you're trying to get married at The National Cathedral.

Her doing this is her gift to you, so I would encourage you to not go over the top on your side, as I'm guessing her enjoyment is derived from her ability to give you a very unique gift. Is there anything that would be more meaningful to her than cash, or a dinner? Her gift is pretty cool, so don't screw this up!

Something beautiful and lasting where she could be reminded of her generosity? Does she collect anything special and meaningful? Would she like something more "family" oriented, or something particularly personal to her; something "fun"?
