Home recording on the cheap...???
I am going to do some recording on a very amateur level. These will be karaoke songs with my vocals. I want them to be digital so I can email the files as a pre-audition.
I have a Windows 8 laptop, a mixer, adapter cables, etc. My question is whether I will be able to record using the laptop as the source of the music (karaoke CDs or youtube karaoke songs), as well as the recording device simultaneously. Laptop headphone output > mixer > laptop mic input I am not looking for audiophile quality, just youtube quality. Will I be overtaxing the laptop and have buffering issues? Will the laptop try to record the youtube that is playing without actually utilizing the mixer (direct)? |
