Speaking of gators... Years ago I thought of entering the Texas Water Safari with a buddy of mine. We took his canoe out a bunch of times to "practice" (drink beer and smoke weed) We actually made a couple overnight trips of 100+ miles.
After the second of those trips in June one year we decided that it was too damned tough for us. The gators weren't nearly as bad as the damned Water Moccasins dropping out of trees into the water. We had one land in the canoe, we left the canoe, then he left the canoe... Jebus ain't the only one who walked on water! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Water_Safari |
