I have the answer to this question.
Ok, first, I didn't read the whole article, second, here's the answer. I actually got a little pissed off reading it. This bunch of millenial yahoos lacks more motivation than any group prior. They all (ok, to be fair, most) think they can either go straight from high school, or college with some shit degree into a 100k per year management job. For the most part, they have no ambition, motivation, etc. Truthfully it pisses me off, and I am damned tired of hearing them bitch and moan. Hell, there is a tech school near here that has a 16 week program to get you certified to be a lineman. You can knock down serious jack doing that, but these bunch of pansies are afraid to break a fuggin nail. Sorry, but I've had it. And these dumbshits get to vote. Just like this stupid chick at Subway the other day. She informed me she voted democrat all the way. I told her not to worry, that when she grew up, she would vote republican. I then asked her how old she was, and she said 30. Ooops, my bad, if you are a "sandwich artist" at 30 years of age, you have already made some pretty damn bad life choices, and I have no sympathy for you. Once again, someone that really shouldn't be allowed to vote. And these dimwits want to roll back in with mommy, and then complain about being broke. I'm sick of it......

Note the kid in the OP and the Subway suzy most likely are collecting or benefiting from means tested welfare.
It's way past time to gut those programs that subsidize business and reward idiots for being idiots. |

We had an early 20s guy quit a couple months ago.
He was making decent money at a starting level job, and struggling to keep up. He was doing the simplest thing we do and it was a struggle. Management walked in on him watching feature-length movies on his phone more than once. He had a review this spring and was told that more was expected of him and more would be put on his shoulders as they were comfortable his performance was improving. They have him half of his raise, and half of what his bonus was to be...and said he could earn the rest in the next 6 months. Right before the 6 months was up, he quit. He now works at Target. |

My stepson (now twenty five and awakened) told me when he graduated high school he wanted a first shift job that paid well, didn't have to work too hard, and had weekends off. I told him when he found one let me know. Out of our five for a while he was my least favorite child. Needy and clingy with his mom.
Gotta give the boy credit. He now works 8/6, Mon/Fri, with weekends off. But he did put in the time to get there. Married to a sweet little gal and two beautiful grandchildren. He also bought his first home earlier this year. Works hard and make sure he puts his family first. We are actually quite close and he calls on me more for advice before talking to his father. While most millennials are spoiled, ungrateful little brats there are those that have become responsible, conservative young adults. Gotta admit, quite proud of him now. He lived with us pretty much full time from fifteen to nineteen. I like to think I had a hand in that. |

He wrecked a couple cars and I talked him out of a horrible loan and something seemed to click in his head about spending. A few months after dodging that car loan he downgraded to a rental house in the ghetto. He said that it was a lot cheaper than his apartment in west Omaha. Uh...safe housing is worth paying for. 20% loan on a used car is not. |
